TOPSPOT Dalmatians got its start in 1983, when Darlene and Curt Hinkle acquired their first Dalmatian, Karefree’s Heidi Lee Hinkle CDX. Although her conformation career was short, it was enough to instill in Darlene a love of the sport and gave Darlene her first experiences in the obedience ring. Heidi earned her C.D.X. degree.

Topspot’s first champion was CH Land End Magypsnie VIIth Risk, lovingly know as “Riskit” and she produced CH Topspot’s Cinnamon Toast.

However, foundation bitch honors go to CH Karefree Glows In The Dark – “Shimmer” – who ultimately produced seven champions and through whom come all the current champions and upcoming stars at Topspot.

Topspot is committed to producing quality Dalmatians. All puppies are raised in an active home environment where the emphasis is on loving socialization. Of course, all puppies are BAER tested and health guaranteed.

Darlene and her Dals are routinely found giving fire safety demonstrations at local schools and also at the Richlandtown Fire Company parades and events and the dogs serve as their official mascots. Darlene is an active firefighter and her husband is past-chief of the company. She is a member of the Dalmatian Club of America and the Delaware Valley Dalmatian Club and was chair of their specialty show held in conjunction with the DCA national specialty in 1992.
